かつて染物屋をやっていたこの建物が解体されそうになった今から30年以上前、この町並みを残そうと有志が立ち上がり保存活動が行われ、現在は地域の文化発信拠点として運営されています。藍の家と名付けられたこの場所では、雛祭り、山笠などの展示、アート展、音楽演奏など、いろんなことが行われています。家の歴史や建築様式の話も丁寧にしてくれます。
